Sheraton
Chicago Hotel and Towers Accessibility Info
The main hotel
entrance is fully accessible and has a level path from the front
doors, throughout the lobby floor, to access the hotel registration
desk, concierge, and the conference registration area. There is an
additional convention entrance on the same level that is also fully
accessible.
There are two
banks of elevators. One bank of four elevators accesses the Lobby
(level 3) and Ballroom (level 4) Levels, as well as all the floors up
to Floor 17. The other bank of six elevators accesses the Lobby and
Ballroom Levels, as well as all the floors from Floor 18 through 34.
These two banks of elevators do NOT access the Meeting Rooms (level 2)
and Exhibition Hall (level 1) Levels. There are also two sets of
escalators on the East side of the building to access the Levels 1
though 4, the Exhibition Hall Level (1), Meeting Room Level (2), Lobby
Level (3), and Ballroom Level (4). Should you need accessible access
to the Meeting Room and Exhibition Hall Levels, there is an elevator
on the Northeast side of the Lobby Level, next to Chi Bar.
The Sheraton has
an accessible self-parking lot adjacent to the building. The parking
lot is outdoors, but has an accessible tunnel entrance from the lot,
directly into the hotel. The cost for self-park is $34 for 24 hours.
The hotel also offers valet parking. The cost for valet parking is
$42 for 24 hours, with in-n-out privileges.
The Sheraton has
an indoor pool and health club. The health club has fully accessible
locker rooms, with an accessible stall in the restroom area of each
locker room.
The gift shop is
on the Lobby Level on the East side of the building,
Shula’s Steak
House and Chi Bar are on the Lobby Level of the hotel and are
accessible. Chi Bar is an appetizer and beverage bar and does not
take reservations. Any special accommodations needed within Shula’s
Steak House, can be requested when your dining reservation is made.
The Java Bar is a
coffee, breakfast, snack, and beverage bar on the Lobby Level. The
main seating area is elevated by three steps, and there is an
accessible ramp located next to the bar. Also, any guests may be
served from Java Bar, within the surrounding level lounge area.
The Riverside
Café is located on Level 2, the Meeting Rooms Level. The café is open
for breakfast and lunch. There is accessible seating available in the
café, but space is very tight and reservations are recommended. The
two main banks of elevators do not access this floor. The elevator to
access this floor is on the Northeast side of the building (next to
Chi Bar on the Lobby Level.)
The Chicago
Burger Company is on the Exhibition Hall Level. The restaurant serves
lunch and dinner and accessible seating is available both indoors and
outdoors on the deck. There are accessible doors out to the deck, and
an alternate, smoother access ramp to the deck. The two main banks of
elevators do not access this floor. The elevator to access this floor
is on the Northeast side of the building (next to Chi Bar on the Lobby
Level.)
There are
accessible restrooms on every floor of the Sheraton. On each of the
Levels 1 – 4, Exhibition Hall Level (1), Meeting Room Level (2), Lobby
Level (3), and Ballroom Level (4), there is a set of Men’s and Women’s
Restrooms on both the North and South sides of the buildings.
